Members of the community can relay their interest to staff at the library branch they are interested in volunteering. There are 14 SLO County Libraries. Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age, file an application, and background checks are required for those 18 and older.

Friends of the Library, our non-profit support groups, also seek volunteers to help with collecting, sorting donations, help with book sales and library advocacy. Please contact the branch you are interested in volunteering at for more information.
