About the DIY Memory Lab
Do-it-yourself Memory Labs are spaces where the public can come in and use state-of-the-art and rare equipment provided by public libraries to work on personal archiving projects. The County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries currently maintains two memeory labs, one on the 2nd floor of the San Luis Obispo Library and one on the 1st floor of the Atascadero Library. Both Memory labs have access to machines that digitize VHS and paper or photo documents to your USB flash drive or portable hard drive and a computer for converting and editing digitized items.
