What is RSS?

RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds are a convenient spam-free way to track new materials, news, or other content that is updated periodically. To read the material delivered in a feed, you need an RSS reader or news aggregator (see ‘Find an RSS Reader’ below). To subscribe to a library feed, click the orange RSS button; in the page that appears, copy the url and paste it into your reader. Or simply drag the orange RSS button into your reader. The method you use depends on your reader. See the instructions for the reader.

RSS Readers

Some RSS readers are web-based. Others are installed on your computer. Some are free, and some are fee-based. For a list of readers, see http://blogspace.com/rss/readers.
