Arroyo Grande Library is now closed for construction!
Visit our temporary library for your holds pickups and returns.
We’re updating the library to current building codes. The library is getting new restrooms, a new children’s area, new HVAC system, fire sprinklers, and more. This project is partially funded by a California State Library Infrastructure Grant.
A temporary location for holds pickups and returns opens July 16 next door to the Arroyo Grande Library, at the Chamber of Commerce. It will be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1-6, and Saturdays 1-5.
We’re not sure how long the renovations will take. We’ll know more as the project progresses--we’ll keep you updated. Thanks for your patience while we make these much-needed improvements!

AG Library staff will be working at other locations, at outreach, or on other projects.
We will offer storytime at Rancho Grande Park in Arroyo Grande, weather permitting. Check our events calendar at SLOLibrary.org to see storytimes at our other locations.
One bookdrop will be available in front of the temporary location at the South County Regional Center. The drive-thru bookdrop will not be available. Returns are also accepted at the temporary location or at any of our other 13 locations.
